The Review Process

Technical notes will be assigned to a set of reviewers based on the topic keywords you select to describe your submission. Each potential reviewer has also been asked to indicate keywords that describe their areas of expertise. Think carefully about the keywords you select and pick a set that BEST describes your submission.

The title and abstract of the paper will also be used in selecting reviewers for your submission. Make sure that these are clear, concise and adequately describe the submission.

Your technical note will be reviewed by 5-9 reviewers. All reviews will be written and processed electronically. All reviews for your submission will go to an associate chair who will read the paper and the reviews and compile a summary for the technical notes co-chairs. This summary will include a recommendation about acceptance.

The technical notes co-chairs will then read the summary reviews, noting the amount of agreement between reviewers and the associate chair. Submissions where there is considerable disagreement will be further evaluated by the co-chairs and a decision made about acceptance.

The final decision about acceptance will be made in conjunction with the papers chairs as we attempt to put together a cohesive program of papers, technical notes, design briefings and panel submissions.
